Throughout the year, the AAN holds several events that give its members the opportunity to network with their peers, earn continuing medical education credits, and advance their knowledge and skills. As part of its advocacy work, the organization also oversees various programs and activities that draw attention to the critical issues facing neurologists, patients, and the field of neurology as a whole.
The AAN recently held Neurology on the Hill on March 2-3, 2015, in Washington, DC. During the two-day event, physicians from across the United States explored current policy issues, including physician reimbursement and neurological research funding. Participants then met with their senators and representatives to discuss these issues and the Academy’s other legislative priorities.
